Fashion placements with Dolls of Decadence are available throughout the year, subject to availability and generally take place at our studio, located in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter

We offer internships in:

Fashion/garment manufacturing

Fashion media, marketing and promotion

As a small company, our placements are hands on and allow for the candidates to work closely with the designer during their time on placement.

To be considered you must be:

- a minimum age of 18 years old and able to commit to a minimum of 2 days per calendar week (excluding weekends)

- are currently studying a Fashion/textiles course, a fashion marketing or a media course at undergraduate level and have a basic knowledge of the fashion/garment industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing fashion brand in helping build Dolls of Decadence’s online presence and to increase engagement. 


1) Studio assistant/garment technician internship 

Min age: 18

Hours: 09.30 -17.00/ 2 days per week (to be completed between Monday- Friday)

Location: Dolls of Decadence HQ | Birmingham B18 6LE

Employment type: UNPAID Internship, able to commit at least 3 months 

Suitable for a fashion student on a gap year or looking to improve their skills.  Some knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting and sewing experience is essential


Work closely with brand owner to understand the management of a fashion business

Gain work experience and build your portfolio  

Be part of a rapidly growing fashion brand and be a representative of the company

2) Fashion marketing/promotions assistant

Position: Content writer/creator

Hours: Flexible, +/- 2 days per week 

Location: Remote, WFH 

Employment type: UNPAID internship, able to commit at least 3 months 

We are looking for a motivated and creative blog writer, videographers and fashion marketing content creators to join us on the marketing team at Dolls of Decadence (DoD). The job is voluntary and approximately 50% remote based so will be fulfilled at home.  

Previous experience in writing and/or Fashion marketing is preferred, but not essential for this role. As long as you are a confident writer and have a good command of the English language. 

This role would suit writers/videographers (content creators) with limited experience or opportunity. This could be, but not limited to a university student or recent graduate looking to expand their portfolio. We also invite people from different backgrounds with an interest in fashion as it would be great to have different perspectives.  

Responsibilities may include: 

Planning and creating engaging pieces of content for our blog, social media, campaigns and features.  

Photo campaign assistance

Social media management 

Perform research for blog posts, articles, guides and other content.   

Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.  

 Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone) 


Be able to commit to writing at least one article per month (3 articles minimum over a 3 month minimum period)

Have a passion for or interest in fashion 

Be able to commit to deadlines when necessary 

Be willing to learn, if new to the industry 

Excellent written skills and can write personable exciting articles
